As a first time driver, I felt completely comfortable.Posted on Michael StorieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had the two hour session and loved it! Trails are fun, sleds are immaculate and well appointed. Our guide Taylor was awesome, and made it so much fun. The scenery at Molas Pass at sunset is surreal. Will come back for a longer ride for sure!
Baja Rock Pirates Reviews
The staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful and they have everything except long-sleeve shirts. 😀 I will buy them when they start selling.
The day was amazing! The Baja is truly amazingly beautiful, and exploring the back roads and trails allows you to see that!
We were back earlier than expected and they let us do another short trip to a nearby vista spot!
Thank you, Baja Rock Pirates, for an absolutely fabulous day, we will be back!

August 27, 2024We had a great experience with Rock Pirates, staff is super friendly and helpful and got us set up to go perfectly on our first trip into the San Juan mountains on the Alpine Loop. The RZR's got us through the loop trouble free and we were treated to scenery that we have never seen before and we all agreed that it was one of the coolest things we have ever done

July 27, 2024They did a very good job. I would highly recommend the expedition. We’ve rented others and while every machine we’ve rented from them was good. This was by far the most comfortable. The machine was clean when we got it and they did a very professional job.

Great service, the RZR1000 performed perfectly. Only negative, they don't have goggles to rent or sell, so be sure to bring your own.

November 27, 2023We rented two snowmobiles for a 3 hour tour and it was a great time for our family of 4. Our guide Derek was friendly and made the tour fun and exciting. These are not old worn down snowmobiles they were all brand new for the 23-24 season and handled great. I would highly recommend this for any skill level and it gets you off the beaten path to see areas you wouldn't normally see.

March 27, 2024First, my friend and I had a great time. However I believe we had a good time and a safe experience because we are both experienced drivers and I am very familiar with the area. We rented the top of the line Razr Turbo R at almost $560 for the full day. We arrived to find the rear tires bald and front tires past the wear bar (which indicates when they should be replaced). I immediately brought this up to our outfitter/rep and asked if there was another unit available. He said "the other one is just as bad." I asked if this would increase my risk of a flat, he said yes but if we got a flat to just use the satellite tracker button and he would come repair it. Mind you we were hours away during parts of our ride... The safety talk was sufficient, however we were told there were maps in a binder on the Razr and there was a GPS. That was it for guidance even tho we were headed into the backcountry. There are places a SxS legally cannot go, there are trails that are closed and there are trails IMO that an inexperienced driver should be warned away from (and if they went down, wouldn't be able to get back out of) like Mineral Creek and Poughkeepsie. Not once did the outfitter pull the map out and show us where to go/not to go, or show us how to use the GPS. Now could we have asked? Absolutely! And I really hope people would. However to me this presentation would give an inexperienced person a false sense of security and begs the assumption that anyone could drive anywhere safely and legally. After we left we noticed a service warning. The Razr was overdue for an oil change (unsure how overdue, the system didn't say). We asked about this upon return and was told they were leased from Polaris and they did not change the oil. Final conclusion: we paid a HEFTY sum for a vehicle with bald tires, overdue maintenance and sent into remote and very dangerous areas with no direction. These trails are not forgiving. If we couldn't have stopped or maintained our line because of the tires we could've been hurt or killed. If we had gotten a flat tire or something had disabled the Razr due to the lack of maintenance, it could be hours before someone got to use and who knows if we could've completed the day. Even if we had been refunded for any lost time, we wouldn't have had the opportunity to reschedule. In the end we had a good time, but really only because we knew what we were doing so could mitigate the dangers. I was shocked at the condition of the $560/day equipment and the lackadaisical attitude when we brought up the issues.
