Juanita the wonder dog stole the show, the mascot of Baja Rock Pirates riding along with our trusty guide. This was my best experience yet going off road in the Cabo area. I will always choose Baja Rock Pirates during our off road adventures. I look forward to seeing you next time we head back to my favorite place to visit. Don’t hesitate to choose them, they are very safety oriented and make it very easy to have a great time! Make sure to drop into Todos Santos for a drink and meal. It’s an awesome little town.

So much fun, and a great way to see the inland of Baja! We booked the El Coyote tour with Jose, and we loved it! The Polaris RZRs are really state of the art and capable of anything. My husband loved driving them (I am a passenger princes and enjoyed taking videos and pictures of the beautiful terrain). And our guide Jose was really fun and super helpful. I definitely recommend this company for an epic adventure in Baja!

We did the self- guided day trip to El Triunfo. It was an absolute blast! The vehicles are in top-notch shape, the GPS makes it really easy to follow the right trail, and the instruction we received before our ride was enough to give us the confidence to go out on our own.The staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful and they have everything except long-sleeve shirts. 😀 I will buy them when they start selling. The day was amazing! The Baja is truly amazingly beautiful, and exploring the back roads and trails allows you to see that!We were back earlier than expected and they let us do another short trip to a nearby vista spot!Thank you, Baja Rock Pirates, for an absolutely fabulous day, we will be back!

Jose and Juana are outstanding guides. This is a must-do activity in Baja. My gf and I did the 4hr tour last Friday and cannot wait to come back during the wet season to see the area through a different lens. You’ll have radios, navigation and a tour guide if you’d like. We stopped our vehicle for 2 minutes to switch driver/passenger and Jose saw that our vehicle stop moving and he came back to see if we were ok. I should’ve radioed up to Jose but it was nice to know he was attentive.

We chose to rent side by sides at Rock Pirates based off previous reviews and I'm so glad we did. The moment we stepped in the door we were greeted with a smile. The rental experience was very smooth and easy. Never any pressure to upsell anything. The helmets were very clean the insides had been washed out. The Polaris we rented was brand new. So much power and so much fun. The onboard GPS navigation for self-guided tour is very easy to follow for first time riders. As we returned they were already outside to greet us. Absolutely no problems with returning the equipment. Highly recommend Rock Pirates Backcountry for your side by side adventure.

Absolutely thrilled with our experience! Exceptional business with a highly professional American model and prices. The machines are top-notch, equipped with GPS and impressive stereos. While we encountered a minor headset issue in the helmets, the swift solution was readily available. The GPS trackers and Baja chase truck mechanic-style support for emergencies or breakdowns added an extra layer of confidence. Hoping for extended rental options like a three-day or even a week, as these machines are perfect for town use, and a more extended rental would be a fantastic value if I paid the day rate the rental cost would be outrageous. Already considering another week-long rental soon – Hopping for a 3-5 day rental discount soon.

This trip was our fourth time to rent a RZR from Rock Pirates. The staff was friendly and efficient, the equipment was new and clean which is difficult in dusty Silverton Colorado. I recommend them to anyone needing to do a day trip or longer for this type of equipment as it's the most efficient way to move about the really rough roads in the area. It truly is one of the few ways to access some of the most difficult mining sites if you're interested in getting truly in the most remote areas. Rock Pirates offers the equipment to take you there. Thanks again Rock Pirates for a great experience. Steven Braden

  • Super friendly and helpful employees. We were alittle late and they called to remind/check if we were still coming...that was perfect. They were all setup and ready for us when we arrived. Quick check in and check out process. Nice warming hut after the ride on a cool rainy afternoon!

Awesome adventures, as always! Customer service, equipment, and of course the Rockies as a playground. Could not ask for more. Will be back again!

First, my friend and I had a great time. However I believe we had a good time and a safe experience because we are both experienced drivers and I am very familiar with the area. We rented the top of the line Razr Turbo R at almost $560 for the full day. We arrived to find the rear tires bald and front tires past the wear bar (which indicates when they should be replaced). I immediately brought this up to our outfitter/rep and asked if there was another unit available. He said "the other one is just as bad." I asked if this would increase my risk of a flat, he said yes but if we got a flat to just use the satellite tracker button and he would come repair it. Mind you we were hours away during parts of our ride... The safety talk was sufficient, however we were told there were maps in a binder on the Razr and there was a GPS. That was it for guidance even tho we were headed into the backcountry. There are places a SxS legally cannot go, there are trails that are closed and there are trails IMO that an inexperienced driver should be warned away from (and if they went down, wouldn't be able to get back out of) like Mineral Creek and Poughkeepsie. Not once did the outfitter pull the map out and show us where to go/not to go, or show us how to use the GPS. Now could we have asked? Absolutely! And I really hope people would. However to me this presentation would give an inexperienced person a false sense of security and begs the assumption that anyone could drive anywhere safely and legally. After we left we noticed a service warning. The Razr was overdue for an oil change (unsure how overdue, the system didn't say). We asked about this upon return and was told they were leased from Polaris and they did not change the oil. Final conclusion: we paid a HEFTY sum for a vehicle with bald tires, overdue maintenance and sent into remote and very dangerous areas with no direction. These trails are not forgiving. If we couldn't have stopped or maintained our line because of the tires we could've been hurt or killed. If we had gotten a flat tire or something had disabled the Razr due to the lack of maintenance, it could be hours before someone got to use and who knows if we could've completed the day. Even if we had been refunded for any lost time, we wouldn't have had the opportunity to reschedule. In the end we had a good time, but really only because we knew what we were doing so could mitigate the dangers. I was shocked at the condition of the $560/day equipment and the lackadaisical attitude when we brought up the issues.

My husband and I rented an ATV this past weekend and had the best time. When I called to inquire the person was helpful and explained to me what we would be able to do in 2 hours versus 4 hours - we were so glad we chose the 4 hour option. The experience was incredible and the company provided a helpful map and instructions. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Silverton!
